Company Lunch
Our plan to try out Nasi Lemak and buying swiss roll cake was gone! hahax. Because they had organised a company lunch at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at Parkroyal Hotel. OMG! The whole course cost $698++! I guess that's the most expensive meal i had ever eaten in my entire life can!
The moment i stepped into the restaurant, i was fascinated by the guy who's carrying this 'teapot' around. I've only seen it on tv but not in reality. In the end Gek Suan helped asked the guy over to pour tea and i snapped a photo of him doing it! HAHAX. He looked really irritated. =/
The food was good. (I have to say so since it's so ex!) The yusheng was quite weird. There's salmon sashimi and fried fish skin...... first time seeing fried fish skin. We saw this really really humongous one across the room! I would say it's too exaggerating. Yu Chi was very yummy! It has been so long since i've eaten all these!! The sea cucumber with oyster tasted er weird.... oyster had this really really bad smell on my first bite and i decide not to touch it again. hahax. Oh.. then came the scallop! It look really really disgusting. Boss didn't dare to try cuz it was covered in some slimy green coloured thing... obviously it's some veggie... but the look isn't tempting enough... Johnson said it's fresh from the sea so they're covered with seaweed! =/ Then i said why not algae! HAHAX. And all of them started laughing! But it taste good! =D
Desert was some almond thing with tangyuan. Ok. I hate almond paste... taste like panadol tablet! I'm fine with almond nuts but not the paste. Everyone left the desert untouched! Such a waste. But seriously... they should have given a more popular choice like maybe red bean soup or sth.... We ended a meal by taking a group photo! Hopefully i will get it soon and post it up here! =)
In the morning i was shocked to see that Johnson is back from Yuzhno-Sakhalin, Russia. I heard it was -17 degree celsius over there! *faint* I think i would have frozen if i was there. hahax. Anyway he bought hp chain for us.... It's very delicate! He said that it cost US $5! OMG! Freaking ex. He warned us not to lose it! hahax.
P.S: I'm still very keen in getting my swiss roll!!!!!!!!!
