yesterday's practice was considered a fruitful one for me. yay!! Finally i'm able to play those running notes. However at times i still cant do it right. Nvm. I shall keep trying. I read the 12th dec post on their webby, and i was seriously encouraged.
I guess i get to know more friends yesterday. Feeling great! =) And yes, the posting result would be out tmr!! Oh my.. wondering....... but anyway i think i'll have to go through the process of appealing.
We sight read quite a number of pieces during the combine rehearsal. One of them was Phantom of the Opera. Initially i was feeling kinda ecstatic that we're gonna play tt cuz i played that piece before. In the end, when the score was right in front of my eyes. I was pulling faces at it. It's just completely different from the one i played before. When i went home to check out, i then realised tt the one i have with me was the medley one. -.-"
Another difficult one was Tosca. I heard maksim's version before. Later when we started playing, it really sounded like maksim's vers only that there's no piano playing in it. It's really difficult. So many flats!! I usually deal with scores tt have lots of sharps, and occasionally scores with the most 2 flats. But yesterday i got a big shock when i saw one of the pieces with like 3 or 4 flats. Again, i stared at the score during one part where it's all triplets.
I sort of chatted with nab yesterday during the combined rehearsal. I asked her abt tues evening band prac and she said tt sometimes he'll drag it until 9p.m!! oh my.. lol.. No wonder those teachers said that at times u would have to sacrifice your slping time. sobx. I guess all these are necessary. I will perservere. yes! i can do it! =)
Time really flies. Now i'm left with 3 wks of holiday and school will start again. The hectic life. The whole cycle is gonna repeat once again. woo~~
